Qorshe LabsTechnology, planned well

One company. Practical software for families, classrooms, and everyday money.

Qorshe Labs is a Minnesota technology company building a small family of focused products: a family development and management platform, a Grades 5–8 math platform built around honest diagnostics and Minnesota MCA readiness, and a library of Somali-first books and courses.

Straight talk: our products are in active development. Every page on this site labels what exists today, what is being built, and what is still planned — no inflated claims, ever.

How we build

Three commitments shape every product we ship.

Honest status, always

We label what is built, what is being built, and what is still an idea. We do not publish customer counts, revenue, or partnerships we do not have — and as a young company, we would rather earn trust slowly than claim it early.

Privacy is a feature

Family plans, student records, and household finances are sensitive by nature. Our products are designed around private-by-default spaces, clear visibility controls, and — for education — FERPA and COPPA awareness from the first line of design, not as an afterthought.

Built for our community

Our founder teaches middle-school math in Minneapolis. Our materials speak English, Somali, and Spanish, use plain language, and solve problems we have seen first-hand — in classrooms, in daycare programs, and at kitchen tables.

Where things stand

The build sequence we are following, in the open.

Stage 1 · Complete

Company audit & blueprint

Every existing project reviewed; product identities, architecture, and priorities set down in a master blueprint before new building began.

Stage 2 · You are here

Company website

Brand identity, this website, and professional product pages — the central gateway to everything Qorshe Labs makes.

Stage 3 · Next

Product architecture

Accounts, databases, and shared services organized so each product can launch independently on its own subdomain.

Stage 4

Product development

Qorshe family spaces first, then the Learn diagnostic and walkthrough system, piloted in real classrooms before any wider release.

Stage 5

Commercial readiness

Pricing, demonstrations, and onboarding — set per product, only once the product genuinely works.

Stage 6

Testing & launch

Full workflow, mobile, security, and performance testing before each product opens to the public.

New here? Start with the product closest to launch.

Books and courses are furthest along, and the Learn diagnostic is our top build priority. Take the tour and see exactly where each one stands.

In developmentFamily pilot first

Qorshe — a development system for the whole household

Qorshe is not another family calendar. It is a shared system for how a family plans, grows, and follows through: goals for each person, tasks that connect to those goals, and a clear picture of progress — with the same engine serving classrooms and daycare programs.

Product home: app.qorshelabs.com · Opens when the family pilot begins

Five spaces, one system

Each space is its own world with its own members and privacy — connected only where a family chooses to connect them.

Personal

Your own goals, habits, and plans — visible to you alone unless you choose to share a status.

Family

Household coordination: shared goals, children's progress, routines, and the plans a family makes together.

Classroom

For teachers: class goals, assignments, and home communication in English, Somali, and Spanish — with an audit trail schools can rely on.

Daycare

Built for after-school programs of around thirty children: fixed groups, rotating helper roles, homework time, and privilege-based rewards that are positive-only.

Business

A space for the projects and small businesses that grow out of family goals — plans, milestones, and follow-through.

Goals engine

Every space runs on the same engine: set a goal, break it into steps, get reminded at the right moments, and review progress weekly and monthly.

Where Qorshe is today

  • Design complete. The full system design — spaces, goals engine, daycare module, privacy model, and trilingual surfaces — is written and approved.
  • Interactive prototype built. All eleven core views exist as a working prototype and have been click-tested end to end.
  • Not yet a live service. Real accounts, a real database, and public sign-up do not exist yet. The prototype uses demonstration data only.

Privacy, designed in

  • Three visibility levels for every item: Private, Status-only (the default), and Shared.
  • No hidden monitoring of children. Parents see their own child's information — never rankings of other children.
  • No ads, no data sale, ever. Export and delete rights are part of the design, along with consent in English, Somali, and Spanish.

What happens next

Qorshe launches in stages: first with our own family as real users, then classroom and daycare pilots, then public subscriptions. Each workspace will be independently administered and isolated. There is no sign-up list yet — this page will say so plainly when one opens.

/ Products / Qorshe Learn

In developmentTop build priority

Math practice that starts where the student actually is

Most practice software assumes a student is working at their enrolled grade level. Qorshe Learn does not. Its diagnostic finds each student's real level — strengths, gaps, and missing prerequisites — then walks them step by step toward grade-level proficiency and Minnesota MCA readiness.

Product home: learn.qorshelabs.com · Classroom pilot before public release

How the diagnostic walkthrough works

The flagship of the platform, in four steps.

Step 1

Diagnose

A short adaptive assessment across Grades 5–8 topics, with every question tied to a specific Minnesota math standard and learning objective.

Step 2

Map the gaps

The platform identifies missing prerequisite skills — the earlier-grade foundations a student needs before grade-level work can stick.

Step 3

Walk the path

A personal learning path sequences practice from the student's real level upward, with worked examples and feedback that names the exact misconception behind a wrong answer.

Step 4

Reassess & adapt

Progress is re-checked continuously. The path adjusts, and teachers see class and student analytics with intervention recommendations.

Built for students, teachers, and schools

Original MCA-style items

Every question is written independently to Minnesota Department of Education specifications and real MCA formats — multiple choice, select-all, ordering, and type-in. Secure test items are never reproduced.

Three practice modes

Learn mode with worked solutions, Drill mode for fluency, and Exam mode under test conditions — so MCA format becomes familiar in daily work, not a surprise in spring.

Teacher dashboards

Class and student management, assignments and quizzes, performance analytics, and printable reports for conferences and intervention planning.

Differentiation built in

Practice is generated at each student's level — the same topic at Foundations, Building, and Pass Path depth — so one assignment serves a whole mixed-readiness class.

Parent visibility

Parents see their own child's progress and MCA readiness in plain language, in English, Somali, or Spanish.

Student privacy

Designed with FERPA and COPPA in mind: minimal student data, school-controlled accounts, and no advertising or data sale — ever.

Where Learn is today

  • Design complete. The practice and diagnostic system design — item model, modes, misconception feedback — is fully specified.
  • Content already in classrooms. Original item banks and differentiated worksheets built on this design are in real use in Grades 6–7 classes today, in print form.
  • The software is not live yet. The interactive diagnostic platform is in development. It will be piloted in our founder's own classes before any school is offered access.

Who it is for

Students in Grades 5–8 who deserve practice at their level, not their label.

Teachers who need MCA-honest data — which students are on a pass path, who is building, who needs foundations — without another disconnected tool.

Schools serving multilingual families, where home communication in Somali and Spanish is a requirement, not a bonus.

Silicon — a wealth system that stays private

Silicon is the personal wealth-building system used inside Qorshe Labs' founding household. This page explains how it works as a matter of company transparency. It does not offer access, sign-ups, financial data, or financial advice — by design, and permanently unless the founder rules otherwise.

Product home: silicon.qorshelabs.com · Description only — no public access

Three engines, in order

Silicon organizes a household's money around a strict sequence: income first, protection second, investing third. No stage is skipped.

1 · Income

Know exactly what comes in, from every source, and what the household genuinely needs each month. Budgets are tested in short, honest cycles — caps are set, tracked daily in about two minutes, and closed weekly and monthly.

2 · Protection

Before any investing: clear expensive debt, then build an emergency fund in principal-safe, FDIC-insured accounts. The system's first milestone is a small emergency shield; the target is a full household cushion.

3 · Halal investing

Long-term investing follows Sharia-aware principles: no interest-based products, no margin, no futures, no speculation. Every decision is made deliberately by the account holder — the system proposes, the person decides.

Rules the system runs on

  • Capital preservation first. Position sizing and drawdown discipline come before any return target.
  • A milestone ladder. Progress is measured against defined stages, from first emergency shield to long-term wealth targets — reviewed, not vibes.
  • Learn while building. A short daily reading habit pairs financial literacy with the discipline the system requires.

The privacy boundary

Silicon's real numbers — balances, positions, debts, and plans — are never published anywhere: not on this site, not on any channel, not in any product screenshot. Public writing about Silicon covers general principles only.

Silicon is also not a financial advisory service. Qorshe Labs offers no investment advice, portfolio management, or regulated financial services, and nothing on this page should be read as a recommendation.

Why describe a product you can't join?

Because Silicon is part of how this company thinks: disciplined, values-led, and honest about money. If it ever becomes a public product, it will be announced here with the same plain status labels as everything else. Until then, this page is the whole public surface — and that is intentional.

/ About

About Qorshe Labs

Qorshe Labs is a multi-product technology company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. “Qorshe” is the Somali word for a plan — and planning, done honestly and followed through, is what every product we build is about.

Who we are

Qorshe Labs was founded by Abdalrahman Hussein, a middle-school mathematics teacher in Minneapolis with a background in electrical engineering and an MBA. The company's products grow directly out of that combined experience: teaching Grades 6–7 math under Minnesota standards, running after-school daycare programs, and building financial discipline for a large household.

That is why our first products are a classroom-and-family platform, an MCA diagnostic system, and Somali-first books: they are the tools our founder needed and could not find.

What we will not do

  • Invent customers, revenue, partnerships, or traction. We are a young company and we say so.
  • Sell or advertise against user data — family, student, or financial. Ever.
  • Call a prototype a product. Statuses on this site mean what they say.
  • Offer financial advice. Silicon is a private household system, not an advisory service.

How the company will earn

Each product carries its own model, introduced only when the product is ready. No prices are published yet, because nothing is on sale yet.

Qorshe

Family subscriptions, with school and daycare licensing for institutional spaces.

Qorshe Learn

Teacher plans and per-school licensing, priced for the districts and charter schools it is built to serve.

Books & Courses

Direct sales of finished books, with courses to follow — the company's first revenue line.

Contact

Qorshe Labs is in its build phase and is not yet onboarding customers or taking meetings about products that are not live. When a product opens — a pilot, a book release, a sign-up — the announcement and the real contact route will appear on this site first.
